Michael Watry, P.E.
Vice President

 

Michael leads the production and IT functions of Foresight and serves as a Senior Project Controls expert. He has more than 20 of experience covering a wide range of organizational roles, including engineering design, scheduling and project control, risk management, and organizational management.

​

Michael has experience working in both the public and private sectors and has been involved in many aspects of project development, from planning and programming through final acceptance and commissioning.


With his diverse project background that includes roles representing the facility owner, designer, and contractor - for both traditional project delivery and Design-Build projects - he understands the mutual interests in a project from all sides. Through his organizational leadership roles, he has also developed an understanding of the broader implications of project decision-making to a company or agency, and has used this understanding to develop standards, procedures, and policies that balance short- and long-term interests of multiple stakeholders.

 

By using a unique combination of both practical and technological tools, he has helped many clients effectively manage scope, time, risk, and quality of infrastructure planning and construction projects. His role as vice president is to deliver high-quality services that meet client needs.

 

Michael is currently a licensed Professional Engineer registered in the state of Texas and holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota.
